Centering myself

Wherever I am, I need to orient myself to the coast, or to mountains. I don't feel right when I'm far from the sea. Yesterday, I was in Kirkenan, Norway, some 160km from Inari, Finland. I stopped the car by a fjord, almost killed myself on some ice, and walked down to the ice on the shoreline. Balancing precariously on some rocks and see weed, I took a handful of water from the Barents Sea, and splased my face. The salt water, and the smell of seaweed was a delight.

It's true. Sometimes in life the simple things are all you ever need. Like a splash of water on your face.......nice.
