The adventures of Jasper the Time Travelling Cat (Volume 1. Episode 5)

Posted by damien

Volume 1. Episode 5. Jasper goes to Dallas and sits on a grassy knoll.

Hark! It?s a message from Jasper the intrepid time travelling cat. Those of you who have been sad enough to have been following the adventures of Jasper will know that he has been to early 20th century Russia, 16th century England and Ancient Egypt. Twice no less.

But now, the dimension hopping fur bag has wound up somewhere even stranger. He crash landed on Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas on November 22nd 1963. We were getting a clear signal from him and were getting some great images and sound feed when the air was rent with a great spray of gunshots. In typical Jasper fashion, he has managed to land himself in the middle of President Kennedy?s assassination. He seems to have been arrested and taken away for questioning about some thing called a grassy knoll. We?re waiting to hear more.

In the mean time, we?ve been doing some research. And well, smack my ass and call me Oswald but there aren?t there plenty of theories on this one. This site alleges to have a confession from one James Files who claims he was the shooter. The site has a woefully Fox network feel to it, but it?s worth a look. This one has a more scientific look at the matter and this one has the assertion that JFK died at the hands of a bunch of barking mad Jesus heads from the vatican. Finally, this one claims that old Tricky Dicky Nixon may have had a hand in it.

More from Jasper when he gets back to us.

Been to Dealy Plaza and the Book Store Depository twice this trip. It's the only bloody thing to do in Dallas by the way. Museum is good, had a good section on the different theories.

One thing that was missing was a toy rifle so you could do pretend assisinations. They didn't have one so I pretended to do a 'hit' on some tourists down below with a makebelieve TommyGun. Security guards were not impressed.

I always think of Bill Hick's joke, that the window re-construction is really accurate: cos Oswald isn't in it. Also, that the snipers nest is surrounded by glass because the federal government doesn't want millions of Americans coming to visit, looking out the window and screaming "No fucking way!".
