Ghost sightings UK

A nice idea this one. A searchable database of Ghost Sightings and Hauntings within the UK, organised by county and region.

The level of detail in the experiences varies, but makes for some interesting reading.

3 of us were sitting in an empty church playing the organ and singing along (don’t you just love village churches that are always open). We got to an upbeat hymn that we all knew very well (Give me oil in my lamp) so were singing with great gusto. As soon as we hit the chorus (Sing Hosannah!) both the organ player and myself stopped and turned to look behind us at a point where I saw a brief glow and she saw the image of a man. The third person sensed or saw nothing. We felt we had to finish the hymn as we thought it had drawn the spirit in to us, but as soon as we did we got out as fast as possible!

  1. It looks interesting though I fear it would fill up with stories about orbs, things tugging on clothes and people feeling presences rather than anything tangible. What would be really nice would be map of well researched hauntings in the UK and Ireland.
