Yesterday, I journeyed to Dun Laoghaire, in South County Dublin for the Festival of World Culture, where I caught multi-cultural British rockers Fun-Da-Mental on stage with The Mighty Zulu Nation from Durban. This wasn't some kind of earnest load of string-twanging - these was sheer, anger and passion - rock'n'roll global style.

A couple of weeks ago I visited the town of Komiza on the island of Vis, off the coast of Croatia. One the of least-populated bigger islands in Croatia, it doesn't have the hordes of tourists that other places - like Hvar - are inundated with Italian tourists.
