We crept into some dense bush with lots of thorns to see these guys – alas when we discovered them, we were leaving the area, and the sun was high in the sky, making them very difficult to photograph from underneath.
Writer, photographer, environmental campaigner and "known troublemaker" Dave Walsh is the founder of Blather.net, described both as "possibly the most arrogant and depraved website to be found either side of the majestic Shannon River", and "the nicest website circulating in Ireland".
