The station is due to close in 2010; according to Wikipedia a local councillor wants the chimneys kept and listed, for their iconic addition to Dublin's skyline. Bull Island is a UNESCO protected biosphere reserve in the Northern suburbs of Dublin. It features two golf clubs, and Dollymount beach, used for kitesurfing and other outdoor activities. Wildlife includes seals and bird life.
