Frozen Squirrels and Flying Kebabs

Yes! More hot squirrel action. Actually, that’s a lie. It’s more of a case of frozen squirrel action, but the point stands. As always here at Blather we endeavour to bring you all the latest squirrel news from around the globe, in preparation for our inevitable enslavement by the nefarious rodent overlords.

Anyhoo. British bank and insurance agents Norwich Union has released a list of the most bizarre claims that have caused them to cough up cash this last year. Amongst the claims were incidents involving ‘Frozen squirrels’, ‘Flying kebabs’ and a variety of other oddities including potatoes lodged behind brake pedals, a herd of cows licking the paintwork off of a vehicle and one man ramming another vehicle when a wasp flew down his pants.

Sally Leeman of Norwich Union said: “Who would have thought that frozen squirrels and potatoes could be such hazards! We see a lot of strange claims but we were surprised at how many involved animals and food of all things. We can hardly tell drivers to beware of flying kebabs and frozen squirrels when they’re on the roads, but this shows how important it is to be aware of what’s going on around you at all times.”
