‘Downfall’ (‘Der Untergang’), Oliver Hirschbiegel’s 2004 movie focusing on the last hours of the Third Reich is a sensational watch. It’s also rich pickings for mashups, giving birth to one of the more peculiar (and amusing) memes the web has seen in a little while. The movie contains one spectacular scene where old one-ball is informed that all is lost leading to a magnificent, scenery-chewing tirade from Swiss actor Bruno Ganz.
