Well, for about two years now global economists, free-marketeers and other assorted doom-mongers have been telling us that the Chinese are the next superpower and that this century will belong to them – much in the way that the 20th belonged to the Americans and the 19th to the British. But, so far, most of our experience here in ‘the west’ with Chinese imperialism has been through dodgy knock-off produce. And this time we’ve come across a corker…


Brought to us by the Mathhew in Beirut blog, we have a classic example of one culture fantastically mis-translating a piece of popular culture from another and giving us all a hoot in the process.

I geneally frown blog parasitism. However, as the original site is no longer around, I have decided to re-create the blog post with the hillarious mis-translations of Star Wars Episode 3.
