Donegal: Buncrana Hit By Tornado

“Yesterday, about 7pm, a small tornado hit Buncrana. A wooden fence was ripped up and bits of it thrown into some parked cars. Some slates off roofs. No one hurt. All over in a minute or two.”

  1. Thrilling stuff. The last photo reminds me of a headline (some time in the 70s, probably) in the Tyrone Courier after a cow (rather than an army landrover) meandered into a trip wire across a road near Dungannon and ended up splattered over several fields: ‘Hey diddle diddle’. Happy days.
